Terms of Service
1. Service Description
Job Band Builder is a web-based compensation band management tool operated by Rovaryn Digital Inc. The service includes the marketing website at jobbands.com, digital product templates available for one-time purchase at jobbands.com/store, and the SaaS application at app.jobbands.com (each governed by these Terms).
2. Digital Product Purchase Terms
Digital products (templates, workbooks, kits) are available for one-time purchase through the jobbands.com/store. All sales are final upon digital delivery. Refunds are available only if the delivered file is materially defective or not as described; contact eddy@jobbands.com within 14 days of purchase.
3. SaaS Account Terms
SaaS subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. 14-day free trial available; no credit card required for trial activation. Subscriptions auto-renew; cancel anytime through the billing portal. Downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Refunds on annual subscriptions prorated to the unused portion where required by applicable law.
4. Acceptable Use
Users may not use the service to: transmit unlawful content; reverse-engineer or resell the software; attempt to circumvent access controls or tenant data isolation; or use the BLS OEWS and Statistics Canada data in any manner that violates those sources' terms of use (both are public-domain/open-licence for commercial use).
5. Intellectual Property
The Job Band Builder software, design, documentation, and underlying compensation band templates are owned by Rovaryn Digital Inc. BLS OEWS data is public domain (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). Statistics Canada data is licensed under the Open Government Licence — Canada. User-created job architecture data (families, levels, bands) is owned by the user's organization.
6. Liability Limitation
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS." ROVARYN DIGITAL INC. MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT COMPLIANCE OUTPUT WILL SATISFY ALL APPLICABLE LEGAL REQUIREMENTS IN YOUR JURISDICTION. THE SERVICE'S PAY TRANSPARENCY DISCLOSURE STRINGS ARE PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES AND DO NOT CONSTITUTE LEGAL ADVICE. CONSULT QUALIFIED LEGAL COUNSEL FOR COMPLIANCE DECISIONS.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
